I had the opportunity to enjoy a lunch meeting in Stapleton last week and was so excited to try The Berkshire.  I had heard such great things and according to the Dwell Denver Neighborhood Q & A Surveys, it's the place to be in Stapleton.

Location: 7352 E. 29th Ave., in Denver's Stapleton neighborhood

The Atmosphere is:
Fun, hip yet laid back and personable.  The patio was delightful with great people watching in the Town Center.

What to Drink/Eat:
For this particular lunch, I chose a Cobb salad.  I'm a sucker for a Cobb because it's got all the goods...bacon, avacado, eggs, blue cheese, the works.  What made this Cobb stand out was the addition of serrano ham which is

Last week, Dwell Denver Real Estate hosted our summer happy hour at our favorite happy hour spot, The Living Room.  Located on Broadway in the Baker neighborhood, it's the perfect place to kick your feet up and enjoy a cocktail after a long day.  The happy hour was a huge success and we can't wait to do it again!

Chili Verde in Denver's LoHi neighborhood serves up some interesting fare...

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011 at 6:13am. 622 Views, 0 Comments.

Last week, we took a trip down to Chili Verde in LoHi to see what all the fuss was about.  We had some friends who raved about the rellenos and margs (2 of my favorite words) so we thought we'd check it out.

Restaurant: Chili Verde for Lunch, Dinner or Happy Hour

Location: 3700 Tejon Street, in Denver's LoHi neighborhood

The Atmosphere is:
Surprisingly upscale.  It looks like a hole in the wall from the outside, but upon entering, you are surrounded by trendy finishes, linens on the tables and a very friendly staff.

What to Drink/Eat:
We had heard about these crazy chili rellenos en nogada.  Now, I wasn't sure what en nogada was but I was willing to give it a shot.  Turns out it's a sweet, creamy sauce with pomegranates that the rellenos

In Denver's Sunnyside Neighborhood, I found a little slice of heaven...Buchi Cafe Cubano!

On a rare Sunday morning with time to spare for a leisurely breakfast, we headed over to Sunnyside to indulge in one of my most FAVORITE meals...a Cuban Mix pressed sandwich and a large cafe con leche for Buchi Cafe Cubano!

Location: 2651 W. 38th Ave., in Denver's Sunnyside neighborhood

The Atmosphere is:
So relaxed that if there was a hammock, I would have taken a nap right there on the patio.  The service is great, very easy going.  It feels like going to eat at an old friend's house if you have a friend who makes AMAZING sandwiches and coffee!

What to Drink/Eat:
I have dreams about the Cuban Mix sandwich.  It's pulled pork, ham, pickles, onions, mustard and swiss cheese pressed on

A Gentle Reminder: The key to a good investment is buying low and selling high

Friday, August 5th, 2011 at 10:57am. 507 Views, 0 Comments.

I'm a big fan of gentle reminders.  I much prefer them over big slaps in the face the universe has a tendency to hand out.  It seems like every time I turn on the news these days, I get one such slaps in the face.  But I make it my goal to look on the bright side.

I constantly remind myself that there are cycles to everything and we shall recover from this cycle one day.  In fact, there is opportunity when it seems as though things couldn't get any worse.  This is certainly true in the context of the housing market.  As with any investment, the key is to buy low and sell high.  You go to Nordstrom to stock up when they have a sale.  You do the same at the grocery store.  Why wouldn't you do the same when it comes to the largest purchase you will ever

Seven 30 South, Bonnie Brae's neighborhood hang out!

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011 at 6:25am. 470 Views, 0 Comments.

I lived in Bonnie Brae several years ago and fell in love with the neighborhood hang-out spot, Seven 30 South.  Technically this isn't the first time, or the 10th time, I've visited, but thought you all might like to know about it.

Bar/Restaurant: Seven 30 South for happy hour, lunch, brunch or dinner

Location: 730 S. University Blvd., near Denver's Belcaro Neighborhood

The Atmosphere is:
Pleasant, relaxed and quiet.  I love the bar area because there are many options.  You can belly up to the bar, sit at a high table or tuck back at a regular table for some privacy.  For this ladies night, we sat in the back and talked for hours!  Our bartender was fabulous and let me use my Groupon even though it clearly stated that it was not for use during
