Our city hosts an eclectic variety of neighborhoods, each with their own charm and unique restaurants, shops, cafes, breweries and just about everything in between! This week’s Dwell Denver Neighborhood Hot Spot is one of our favorite Cap Hill restaurants, City O’ City!

Why:
City O’ City is a neighborhood favorite. The vibe is hip and funky and really feels like a neighborhood restaurant and bar. It also happens to be a strictly vegetarian and vegan restaurant but the inventive menu makes that only a detail and not the theme. With menu items ranging from breakfast burritos (all-day, btw) to unique “waffles of the week” or W.O.W.’s to pizzas and Happy Hour small plates, there is something all day to satisfy.

The Atmosphere is:
Comfortable, classic, eclectic. With the mismatched salvaged tables and charming decorative touches throughout the restaurant…it just feels like home.

What to Drink/Eat:
The All-Day or All-Night Breakfast Sandwich is always delicious and the Poutine is wonderful. If you have not tried one of their creative W.O.W, then that is truly a unique dish worth giving a try. If you are hungry for a burger, ask for an El Jefe. It’s no longer on the menu, but a knowledgeable server can probably help you score one of these tasty, monsters. Just save room for a Scout cookie if any are left.

It is great for a casual lunch with friends or dinner out. There is often a wait, so it is best to go when you have a little time, but they do carry-out as well.
