For those of you unfamiliar with the phrase fast fashion, here’s the scoop: As consumers, we’re drawn to novelty and affordability. Certain clothing brands cater to our whims by churning out new stuff constantly and selling it for impossibly low prices.

Spoiler alert: Fast fashion isn’t about keeping us stylish. It’s about making the fashion industry more money. And it’s wreaking havoc along the way.

We all have plenty of reasons to avoid estate planning. Like, “I don’t own an ‘estate.’” (You don’t have to.) Or, “I’m too young.” Or, “That seems like a lotta heckin’ work.” 

Fortunately, putting together an estate plan isn’t as complicated as you might think.

Cars are awful for the environment at every stage of their lifecycle—from factory to junkyard. Think about what happens when we drive our cars. Road construction wreaks havoc on local wildlife. Traffic jams skyrocket our emissions and pollute our air. And all that smog, carbon dioxide, and other toxins go straight into our lungs. Gross.

household pets aren’t exactly on the level of methane-gas-belching bovines, but they do have an environmental impact. From the energy used for manufacturing pet food…  to the contamination caused by abandoned, ahem, “contributions”… to waste bags packing our landfills… to the plastic packaging on all those dang toys they just have to have… it all adds up.
